PREPARING YOUR EPUB

Visual Style Guide: Colours

Key elements which ensure that all ePub digital experiences are visually consistent. It is especially important to adhere to word count recommendations.

Colours

ITC’s Primary/Logo Palette

Our colours are diverse and the lines dynamic, and both are contained in a robust emblematic shape. Two of the colours speak of our support from the UN and WTO, while our distinct brand colours are bright and a departure from the conservative colours often found in our sector.

The colours on the primary palette help identify a brand and are commonly incorporated into its logo. Typically, a company has between one and three key colours in its palette but there might be more. ITC uses five.

With the exception of the cyan, these colours are to be used within the brandmark only.

ITC’s Secondary/Focus Areas Palette

The colours on the secondary palette exist to compliment the primary colour palette. They are used to work alongside the logo and reflect the scope of ITC’s work.

You might have to conform to the colours above if you’re producing work for an existing focus area, since products and programmes have a related colour palette that works in tandem with the ITC brand. If possible, use as a reference other existing examples of your target focus area, if they are available.

Your ePub might be an exception and possess some freedom, although this needs to be agreed beforehand, or during the course of the project, with all involved stakeholders.

Tertiary/Digital Palette

You may use these colours freely in your ePub. They might be especially useful when creating additional elements, like charts and graphs. As with the secondary colour palette, please search for existing examples of your target focus area to use as a reference and discuss with your stakeholders if you wish to use colours not included here.

The core colour palette provides an engaging, highly recognisable look for the site. Please note that dark grey or blue, not black, are used on the site.
