Foreword
My congratulations to the winners and participants of the WTPO Awards 2022!
These awards commend organizations delivering visionary programmes with value-oriented goals that make economic sense.
As we continue to navigate an uncertain future, we must collaborate on exciting solutions to ensure that natural and human capital are preserved and linked with inclusive, economic growth. This new business paradigm is giving rise to innovations we could not have imagined even five years ago.
ZimTrade’s Eagle’s Nest Youth Incubator programme ensures the innovations of youth entrepreneurship will be an integral contribution to a more sustainable and economically strong trade environment for Zimbabwe.
MATRADE’s leap to move its international halal trade promotion event to a virtual showcase required major shifts in mindsets and use of technology for both staff and companies. These new skills will generate innovations to build trade resilience into the future.
JAMPRO’s Export Max III programme is an astute lesson in constructing an orchestra of partnerships with clear parts to play where execution is dependent on each other’s skill and commitment. These partnerships were critical to enhance an already successful programme that overcame new challenges faced by Jamaica’s companies and attracted a broader participant base.
The winners, and runners’ up from Austria, Canada, Qatar, and Sri Lanka, have inspired their peers through courageous innovations, skillful leadership and positive widespread impact. I invite you to be inspired too.
